Water water everywhere

For Mother's Day weekend we visited Mom and Dad Cutler at their South Dakota lake cabin. Well, its not exactly a "cabin," but its currently surrounded by lots of water. One would think there is a lake or river nearby that has flooded, but in fact all of the water is a result of over saturated ground, melted snow, and spring rains. Next time we will remember to bring our canoe.

Here is a shot of the cabin.

Mom has set up some chairs in front of "Golden Pond". She is considering adding a dock and paddle boat. Dad recently purchased a few new farm toys that he had to show off. This tractor is so fancy it even has satellite radio. The new semi can be used to haul grain or drive cross country.
Dad even honked his air horn for us. In the afternoon we took the 4-wheelers out to look at more water.
There is water on the road...
water in the corn fields... and water behind those homeless people. It is Mom's birthday this week so we celebrated Grand Forks style.
Our favorite pizza place, Rhombus Guys, made special "take & bake" pizzas. Delicious carrot cake cupcakes from Dakota Harvest Bakery. Happy Birthday Mom! Bailey had a hard day of playing and decided to spend the night on Colin's jacket.
