No more snorkeling

The river crested on Friday here in Grand Forks and it looks like we can take off the water wings and pack up the scuba gear. We are in the clear for now; however it sounds like the river may crest again in late April after the snow melts. The temperature has been hovering in the 30s, so it may be several days before any melting occurs. Ironically enough you would never know that it is below freezing because most young people around here have started wearing t-shirts and flip flops outside. I guess its a sign that we are getting old!!

Colin and I drove over the Kennedy Bridge today, which is one of the few bridges open between North Dakota and Minnesota. Here are a couple of pictures I took from the car.
