In mid-February we were hit with snow storms that closed schools and our daycare two Mondays in a row. Both mornings we awoke to white-out blizzard conditions that pretty much shut down the entire city. By mid-afternoon on our first snow day, the wind finally died down, the plows had cleared the streets and the temps were decent enough to sneak out for a winter walk. Norah was less than impressed with the snow, but I enjoyed the opportunity to get outside for some fresh air. Besides, who doesn't love an impromptu vacation day?
